What Does Pristine Treat?

Using varied diamond tips, Pristine covers the full scope of aesthetic options, including treatments for thin, sensitive skin, rough skin zones and hard-to-reach areas.

What Is Diamond-Peel Microdermabrasion?

Diamond-peel microdermabrasion is a safe, non-invasive skin resurfacing procedure that deeply polishes and stimulates the skin using densely packed laser-cut diamonds to remove dead skin cells and promote the growth of healthy, new cells for a smoother, more radiant and flawless complexion.

How Does The Pristine Diamond-Peel Treatment Work?

Genuine, laser-cut diamond tips gently abrade the upper epidermal layer of the skin to polish the skin surface while a vacuum control stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. The combination of vacuum and pressure ensure diamond-peel uniformity and allow for personalized exfoliation treatments, according to skin type.

What Does The Treatment Feel Like? Does It Hurt?

Not at all. While you may feel a slight tugging on your skin, the treatment is non-invasive, virtually painless, and requires no downtime. You’ll enjoy a comfortable and quiet treatment with Pristine.

How Long Does A Treatment Session Last?

Treatment time varies depending on face and body areas and skin condition. You can expect to complete a full facial in 10 – 15 minutes on average. Rough skin zones and larger body areas may last a bit longer.

When Will I See Results?

Results can be seen and felt after the very first treatment with an improvement in skin texture and appearance. An overall, gradual improvement can be expected as treatment course progresses.

Microdermabrasion FAQ

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a mini procedure that involves the skin being “sandblasted” by aluminum oxide crystals to remove the top layer of the skin or dead skin cells. This promotes the production of new cells in the basal (deepest) layer of the dermis.

How Is This Treatment Performed?

A cleansing toner is applied to the skin to remove excess oils for better application and penetration. A self-contained wand is manually passed over the skin in areas of damage or all over the face, which is usually the case. The machine delivers fine, aluminum oxide crystals to the face that “sand blasts” away dead skin and impurities. The procedure lasts about 20 to 30 minutes, depending upon the ‘depth’ or ‘strength’ of the peel. Afterwards a cotton ball saturated with a soothing toner is passed over the face then a re-hydrating cream and sun block are applied.

What should I expect after Microdermabrasion?

You can expect to feel as if you have a mild sun burn or windburn. You skin will feel dry and may peel. This is natural and is the purpose of the procedure. You should regularly apply a high quality moisturizer as well as a high protection sun block. Do not expose your face to sunlight for long periods of time, not even tanning beds. You should not use any exfoliating scrubs or lotions beforehand or afterwards for at least 3 days. Your skin will be smoother and the damage will be lessened.

Is There Any Down Time?

You can return to work immediately with the application of a little loose powder. Many patients schedule it on their lunch.
